Time to fly

Title: Time to fly

Inspired by: Pink Floyd’s song “Learning to fly”

The Story behind the art:  When I was a kid, I always thought about how cool it would be to fly. I wanted so bad to one day fly in a biplane, just the thought of flying in a plane with an open cockpit, doing barrel rolls and loops, climbing straight up and then diving straight back down towards the earth only to pull up just in time to fly at treetop level was very exciting to me. The freedom to fly close to the ground and then zip up to the sky to fly amongst clouds has always been a big dream and desire of mine for as long as I can remember and has always held a special place in my heart. So, it comes as no surprise to me, that this art piece came to mind while I was listening to “Learning to fly”.

Title: Going Home

My newest Art project.

Title: Going Home

Inspired by: Joe Bonamassa’s song “Driving Towards the Daylight”

The Story behind the art: We all have troubles and dark times throughout our lives whatever that may be. Sometimes we just want to run from those dark time. So, we run and run and we keep running, in fact, we run so much the next thing we realize is we are lost in that dark and depressing void, not knowing where to turn. I know this firsthand because I have been there. I learned quickly that running in the dark will only get you more lost and wear you out. But I also learned an even more important lesson, that with God at the center of my life I can find the light of day and my way home. Now I run towards the light of day and home and away from the darkness. Don’t get me wrong, the darkness still catches up with me occasionally, but with God’s help and my family and friends, I can always find my way home and you know what? ………... you can to.

Inigo The Brave

Well here is my newest art work. Art can be found any place if we just look.

Title: Inigo the Brave

inspired by: Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Special Edition, a very cool video game

The Story: This picture was dedicated and given too Febrith Darkstar. She runs a YouTube channel centered around the game. On her channel she show cases mods made for the game, think of them as extensions for the game.  She show cases largely player homes, although she has done other mods. It's like having an in game real-estate agent. Her channel is outstanding, so stop by, say hi and give it a try. Click here to check it out:  Febrith Darkstar

Sleeping

Well, here it is, my newest digital remix art piece. This was a hard one to do, not because of the technical stuff, but because of the song that inspired this piece. The song really seems to hit me hard.
Title: Sleeping
Inspired by: Casting Crowns / While you were sleeping
Story: The story is simple, Just look at the lyrics towards the end of the song:
America, what will we miss while we are sleeping
Will Jesus come again
And leave us slumbering where we lay
America, will we go down in history
As a nation with no room for its King
Will we be sleeping
Will we be sleeping
United States of America
Looks like another silent night

The Whistler

Well, the challenge was met. I completed this art project in about 3 to 4 days, about the same time I finished yesterday's art project. Enjoy
Title: The Whistler
Inspired by: Danial Amos's song by the same name on their "Shotgun Angel" album (1977)
The story behind the art: There is no real story for this one. I was trying a new program and had the picture almost done when the song "The whistler" came on. Well, the song seemed to fit so I used the title for this art project.

Sailing into Serenity

Sailing into Serenity

Finely, I have finished my newest art project. This one took me about 3 weeks to complete. There were a lot of little things I had to do with this one. I hope you enjoy it.

Inspired by: Christopher Cross's song "Sailing".

Title: Sailing into serenity

The Story behind the art: In a world that has seemed to have gone crazy and is totally in a state of restlessness, We all seem to look for a place where we can rest and find peace, even if it's just for a day.

The Highwayman

This was my first digital remix and was inspired by the song "Highwayman" from the album "The Highwaymen". The song was sung by Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, and Kris Kristofferson. When I finished this picture, I felt really good about it. I feel it really captures what the song is all about.

Know for those of you who want to know how it was done, here is a bit of the technical stuff. This picture is made up of 5 different pictures. The first picture is of the road and the canyon, this is where my brother and I fish. Next, I put the ghost walking down the road, he was taken from another program. Then I put the clouds in, this took the most time and was the hardest part because it required a lot of reshaping to get it to fit just right between the two mountains. Next and by far the easiest was the placing of the sun. The last thing I put in the picture and like the sun was very easy to do was the green bush in the lower-left corner of the picture. I placed it there to hide one of those ugly mile makers.

So that's the story behind this picture "The Highwayman". I hope you liked this picture and maybe got inspired to try it your self. Please check back to see what's new. I am going to try to post a picture once a week.
